GLIDER WARRANTY & REPLACEMENTS FOR CONSUMERS:

  1. Glider sunglasses are covered by a 12-month warranty from date of purchase. This warranty covers all manufacturing defects. Coverage is only valid with proof of purchase from authorised dealer.
  2. All Glider sunglasses with manufacturing defects will be replaced if found defective under the warranty.
  3. Manufacturing defects include pressure cracks and frame defects, but excludes cracked or scratched lenses.
  4. Any alteration of Glider sunglasses will void this warranty. This warranty also excludes excessive wear and tear.

Put your sunglasses in its hard-shell case as soon as you take it off. If you don't have your case with your, store it in a safe location with the lenses facing up. Only clean your sunglasses with the micro-fibre cloth provided. Do not leave your sunglasses in direct heat, i.e. on car seats or dashboards - it weakens the materials over time.

Our sunglasses have quality lenses that protect the eyes against UV radiation, prevents bothersome glare, and maintains natural colour contrasts.
Polarized lenses filter out bothersome light reflections and make relaxed, fatigue-free vision possible. Besides a great deal of visual comfort, this also improves your safety and reaction time, e.g. when driving a car or participating in outdoor sports.

Avoid exposing your sunglasses to direct heat. Neither lenses nor frames should spend too much time in the sauna or on the dashboard of your car in summer, as excessive heat will weaken the materials over time and result in breakage.

Unfortunately, no. Glider polarized lenses are not made up of just one pane of glass or plastic, but comprise a complex system of layers for anti-reflection, tinting and other additional functions. Therefore, 'polishing out' the scratches won't work.

Defective products should be returned to the store where the item was purchased with your original proof of purchase. The store will assist you in sending the item back to us. Please note:

  • A brief description of the issue or problem with the item should be included.
  • A proof of purchase with date stamp should accompany the defected item. The store will forward this on to us as well.
  • Warranty claims are at the complete discretion of the manufacturer.
  • If the defective item is no longer available or has been discontinued, it will be replaced with a similar item to the same value.

All our sunglasses are imported and arrive readymade. We unfortunately do not have a repair centre in South Africa and therefore do not carry any spare parts.
